Commercial roofing, and only commercial
Coons Roofing is a commercial roofing contractor in Houston, TX, owned and run by Wade Coons. We have been in business for more than four years, with hundreds of projects behind us across Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Galveston, Brazoria and Waller counties.
We work on warehouses and industrial buildings, retail and strip centers, apartment communities, churches and medical offices, on TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up and metal roofs. We repair them, maintain them, restore them with coatings, retrofit old metal roofs with a new membrane, and replace them when that is the right call. We do not roof houses, and we do not do new construction.

You deal with Wade
Ask Wade why a building owner should call Coons instead of a bigger company. This is his answer: “Because you get me involved, and I care if the roof actually performs. Bigger companies have more layers. You may get a salesman, then a project manager, then a crew, and nobody owns the problem. With us, the person who looks at the roof is tied to the fix. We move faster, communicate cleaner, and tell you when you do not need to spend money.”
Questions about a proposal go straight to him, and for a church he will come to the committee meeting to go through it in person.

How we decide what a roof needs
Replacement is the most expensive answer, so it is not where we start. In Wade’s words: “I wouldn’t start with replacement. First we need to find out where the water is getting in, what shape the roof is actually in, and whether the leaks are isolated or the whole system is failing. If the roof can be repaired and bought more time, I’ll tell you that. If replacement is the smart move, I’ll show you why and give you the numbers.”
Most roof problems start small, at the seams, penetrations, curbs, walls, gutters, drains and old repair areas. Left alone, a small leak becomes wet insulation, tenant complaints and interior damage, and then a much bigger decision. So we look at the details first, and a maintenance program is part of what we do.

What working with us looks like
- Assessment
- Free when we are quoting work. We walk the roof and photograph what we find.
- Report
- An inspection report with a condition summary, photos, recommendations and the roof’s remaining service life, usually within 48 hours.
- Price
- In writing before any work starts.
- Leaks
- Same-day response to active leaks, including nights and weekends. Call or text 713-367-1495.
- Everything else
- A reply within 24 hours, usually the same day. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm.
